How to Get Fluxite in Sandustry
Fluxite is dug in trace amounts early and produced without limit later. Here is the only renewable source, what it costs to unlock, and what it upgrades.

Early on you dig Fluxite out of the ground, and there is not much of it. The only way to make more is the Flux Emanator (tier 5, 2,000 Gold), which converts Voidbloom into Fluxite at one for one.
Fluxite and Gold are the two materials the game’s progression is built on. Gold buys research; Fluxite upgrades your tools, weapons and drones. You will run short of Fluxite long before you run short of Gold, because for most of the game there is no way to produce it.
Early: dig for it
Fluxite generates naturally underground, in small amounts. It is a diggable resource — it comes out with whatever excavation tool you are carrying, and there is no processing step.
Treat the early supply as a fixed budget rather than an income. Spend it on the upgrade you will use constantly, not on the one that sounds most powerful.
Later: make it
The Flux Emanator is the only way to create your own Fluxite. It costs 2,000 Gold at tier 5, and it does exactly one thing: it consumes Voidbloom and emits Fluxite.
The mechanic is worth understanding before you build it:
- Voidbloom must touch the top of the Flux Emanator. Fed from any other side, nothing happens.
- The Fluxite spawns from the bottom and grows outward in a circle, with the underside of the Emanator at the centre.
- It is slow. This is not an instant conversion, and feeding it faster does not speed it up.
- One Voidbloom always becomes one Fluxite. No dice roll at this step.
If solid Blocks are in the way, the bloom follows the contour of the walls and keeps as close to circular as it can.
Leave it room
The bloom needs empty space to grow into, and it keeps growing as long as Voidbloom keeps arriving. Build the Emanator over an open pocket rather than a tight shaft, and harvest regularly instead of letting the ball fill its cavity — once there is nowhere left to place new Fluxite, the conversion has nowhere to go.
Fluxite is collected by destroying it, the same as digging it out of the ground.
Getting to the Emanator
Voidbloom is the input, so the Flux Emanator alone is not a Fluxite line — you need a Voidbloom supply feeding it. How to make Voidbloom covers that side, including the combining rule that stops most first attempts from working.
