About GamePrimer
GamePrimer publishes guides, interactive tools and reference data for games that break out — usually in the first weeks after release, when the useful pages do not exist yet and the official documentation is thin.
Why this site exists
When a game suddenly gets popular, the search results fill up with pages that were assembled quickly and never checked again. Numbers get copied between sites without anyone verifying them, and "TBA" placeholders sit there for months. The gap worth filling is not more of that. It is a small number of pages that are actually correct, clearly sourced, and honest about how fresh they are.
What gets published here
Every game we cover gets its own section. Inside it you will find some combination of:
- Tools — planners, calculators and visualisers you can interact with. These are the reason the site exists; a description of how to calculate something is not the same as a thing that calculates it for you.
- Guides — how to actually do something, written after doing it.
- Reference data — tables and lists you come back to look things up in.
Page count is not a target. A game section ships when it has pages worth maintaining, and no sooner.
Who is responsible
Everything on this site is published under a single editorial identity, GamePrimer Editorial. It is an independent operation, not a media group and not a team of contributors — we do not claim otherwise, and you will not find invented author bios or stock-photo headshots here.
What we offer instead of a masthead is verifiability: every page carries the date it was last substantively changed, facts are labelled by where they came from, and the methodology page describes exactly how information gets checked before it goes up — including what we do when we get something wrong.
Contact
Corrections, questions and takedown requests all go to the same place — see the contact page. Corrections are the most useful thing you can send.
